At the home of ruth weiss and Paul Blake (October 3-31)

We spent 3 weeks at the home and studio of Paul Blake and ruth weiss. ruth (always spelled witht a lower case "r") is considered the "Goddess of the Beat Generation". She innovated reading poetry over jazz n the 1950's while hanging out with other beatniks in San Francisco, including Jack Kerouac, Alan Ginsberg and others. Ruth made a film with us called "Las Cuevas de Albion" out of a performance of her poetry with the flamenco guitar accompaniment of Tao Ruspoli.

Paul (left), ruth's lover and companion for the last 34 years, made an epic 30 minute film about his life and art.
