LAFCO Commissioned Project Packages

Types of Commissioned Projects:

Music videos, shorts, commercials, and event videography.


Package 1 ($500)
One city location. Sync sound recorded at time of shooting, additional dubbing included. MiniDV shooting format. Film duration: 1-3 minutes. Half day shooting. Total time required for completion of project = 7 days

Package 2 ($1,000)
One or two city locations, 60 miles maximum one way travel, additional gas expenses paid by client. Sync sound recorded at time of shooting and/or music added to soundtrack. MiniDV shooting format. Two day shooting. Film duration: 2-5 minutes. Total time required for completion of project = 10-14 days

Package 3 ($2,500)
Two or three city and/or country locations, 60 miles difference from one location to the other, additional gas expenses to be paid by client. Sync sound recorded at time of shooting and/or music added to soundtrack. MiniDV and Super 8 shooting formats. Three days shooting. Film duration: 5-15 minutes. Total time required for completion of project = 14-20 days

Package 4 ($5,000 and up)
Two or three city and/or country locations, 80 miles difference from one location to the other, additional gas expenses to be paid by client. Sync sound recorded at time of shooting and/or music added to soundtrack. MiniDV and any film format. Three days shooting or more. Film duration: 15-30 minutes and up. Total time required for completion of project = 20-30 days, depending on the project.

All packages include 1 MiniDV master tape and 1 VHS dub. Additional VHS dubs at Client's request. Video masters delivered to Client via FedEx/Priority Mail on completion. Client to pay $200-500 up front, depending on project, with rest on completion and delivery of product.

Client negotiates style of video and discusses locations with LAFCO Director/Producer. Client may create a custom package based on their particular needs and LAFCO labor and equipment rates. For example, Client may substitute or include Super 8 or other formats and equipment. Music track/s to be supplied by Client on CD-ROM or cassette for editing purposes.

Legal
Location and talent releases signed by all relevant parties before shooting begins. Subject to mutual agreement, LAFCO will scout locations with the client and get all releases signed before shooting begins.
Copyright remains with Client, except that LAFCO retains rights to stream the Film from their web site and use the Film in any other advertising medium. Client may assist during editing and make changes according to his needs. Cost overruns that are due to Client requests will be billed separately, in addition to package price.
